iPhone 101 sa Tsim Sha Tsui

Short trip sa land of the hongkees, Miromay and Stella's favourite place (Lantau) with my folks (they flew in from Manila, while I flew in on day 2).  Wala lang, para akong lumipad ng HK to give my father a crash course on the proverbial iPhone. Masaya naman. :)

Eh dahil la la land of toys din ang hk, someone's ready for September. :D

Nandyan parin sya, madungis na and all. haha. Eto namang si Kermit Jr--abnormal kasi ako ever. Jay gave this to me 9 years ago.

Ngayon, etong si Dolor ang ultimate chick. Matanda pa yan sa lahat ng inaanak ko. she's nagdadalaga na--actually, nagdadalaga na sya 10 years ago. haha. I 'gifted' Dolor to 'myself' at Giftgate Recto nung 1999. :)

Singapore Toy and Comic Convention (pant, pant...ang haba)

Remember last year's toycon with Stella (and AJ who joined in, right then and there)?

attack of the Blythes! The Fairy Sprites (above shelf) scared the hell out of us. hehe. Below are some of the finalists for the Blythe beauty contest held in Tokyo (last year? not sure). hehe.

Coco (finally) meets 'the godmother'. Looking 'maton' and all, Ge texted us his whereabouts when we were on our way to the convention hall: 'Dito ako sa may pink na arko'. Ah, he found the Blythe exhibition. (more of drawn to-- i believe. :) )

This photo op elicited so much laughter in the galleries. The storm trooper is a fan!

big brothers and playmates

When I was younger, I thought it was unfair for these cool things called robots to be normatively- designated as toys for the opposite sex. You see, I grew up 'among boys'--categorised as either the matons in our neighbourhood in Pasig who taught me how to ride my bmx, care for pigeons (kalapati) and ask my parents for a 20 in 1 nintendo game; and the 'badings' who taught me how to tie my hair and sward-speak 'til kingdom come. I might be an unofficial member of the 'hood, you see. And while I play with dolls (until now), I've always thought that robots are so cool, specially if they can 'transform'. Daya.

So yeah--it may be hereditary.

Naglinis kasi ng room ang housemate naming si Fafa Chet. Natuwa ang mga dalaginding ko, upon hearing that 'his boys' has to stay out muna.

The girls tagged along today.
Outdoor shoot was at 1030 am (so you can imagine how many calories I lost, by simply bending and swooping very low) taken under one the big trees of Kent Ridge's brick pathway going to AS 2 (where my office is). The indoor shots were taken from my office in Geography Dept.

and they (finally!) wore shoes with much more sense. heh.

they even brought a picnic spread, egad.

you can imagine these big ants big as buses cheering for joy. no, not THAT ant. Aha, someone managed to sneak in...meet George. The girls love playing with her, they think she's a toy

(nagpapatawa o, toy daw!).

Their initial agenda was to see whether she can fit in their picnic bag.

AJ has a new hobby. Scaring people shit with her eyes. ahaha.

Stella on her siesta. She lasted for 30 seconds. She's been freaking out on the ants.

Oh, did I mention I managed to change each girl's respective 'plugs'? :)
